Jugement des détenus politiques sahraouis, en appel et autre information
Cinq détenus politiques sahraouis, en prison civile d’Inezgane, sud du Maroc, comparaîtront, le 14 mai 2007, devant la cour d’appel d’Agadir. Les cinq détenus politiques sahraouis avaient été condamnés par la cour de première instance de la même ville à des peines allant d’un an à quatre ans.
Il s’agit de :
Mr. Mohamed TAMEK, arrêté le 15 avril à Assa, détenu à Inzegane, condamné 4 ans par la cour de première instance d’Agadir
Mr. Brahim KAJOUT, arrêté le 15 avril à Assa, détenu à Inzegane, condamné 3 ans par la cour de première instance d’Agadir
Mr. Driss MANSOURI, arrêté le 15 avril à Assa, détenu à Inzegane, condamné à 3 ans par la cour de première instance d’Agadir
Mr. Bachir NAJIAA, arrêté le 15 avril à Assa, détenu à Inezgane, condamné 4 ans par la cour de première instance d’Agadir
Mr. Lakhlifi RGUIBI, arrêté le 6.02.06 à Goulimine, détenu à Inzegane, condamné 1 an par la cour de première instance d’Agadir. Il a été libéré après avoir purgé sa peine.
En outre, les détenus politiques sahraouis, à la prison noire d’El-Ayoune, Mr. Cheikh BENALLA, Mr. Ghali ZOUGHAM, Omar BELYAZID, Mr. Abdessalam DAIDA, Mr. Mohamed Salem BAHAHA et Mr. Mouloud Elhajaj, comparaîtront, également, devant le tribunal de deuxième instance à El-Ayoune, en appel, le 15 mai 2007. Nous rappelons que ces six détenus avaient été condamnés en première instance à trois ans de prison.
Par ailleurs, cinq étudiants sahraouis à l’université IBNO ZOHR, d’Agadir, sud du Maroc, Mr. Ahmed CHEINE, Mr. Mahmoud ELFILALI, Mr. Mohamed CHOUEIAAR, Mr. Lahoucine LEMGHEIFAR et Mr. Abazid KADAL, avaient été arrêtés et incarcéré à la prison civile d’Inezgane, ont comparu devant le juge d’instruction, aujourd’hui, mercredi 09 mai 2007. L’arrestation de ces étudiants sahraouis est survenue suite à des attaques sanglants qu’ont subit les étudiants sahraouis à l’enceinte de l’université d’Agadir, à l’enceinte de la cité universitaire et aussi dans les quartiers proches de cette université. Les étudiants sahraouis qui menaient une grève à la faculté des sciences pour réclamer leurs droits avaient été attaqués, lundi 07 mai 2007, par des groupes d’étudiants extrémistes et racistes membres de l’MCA (Mouvement Culturel Amazigh). Ces affrontements ont fait plus de 57 arrestations et plus de 19 cas grièvement blessés. Tous les étudiants arrêtés ont été libérés ultérieurement sauf ces cinq. Les familles de ces étudiants ont organisé, aujourd’hui, un sit-in devant la Wilaya d’El-Ayoune, pour soutenir leurs enfants, mais les autorités marocaines ont fait usage de force excessive pour les disperser ce qui a résulté en grand un nombre de femmes grièvement blessées.

Judgement of the Sahrawi political prisoners, in appeal, and other information
Five Sahrawi political prisoners, in the civil prison of Inezgane, south of Morocco, will appear, on May 14, 2007, before the Court of Appeal of Agadir. The five Sahrawi political prisoners had been condemned by the court of first authority of the same city to sentences going from one year to four years. It is about:
Mr. Mohamed TAMEK, arrested on April 15 in Assa, prisoner in Inzegane, condemned to 4 years, by the first authority court of Agadir
Mr. Brahim KAJOUT, arrested on April 15 in Assa, prisoner in Inzegane, condemned to 3 years, by the first authority court of Agadir
Mr. Driss MANSOURI, arrested on April 15 in Assa, prisoner in Inzegane, condemned to 3 years, by the first authority court of Agadir
Mr. Bachir NAJIAA, arrested on April 15 in Assa, prisoner in Inzegane, condemned to 4 years, by the first authority court of Agadir
Mr. Lakhlifi RGUIBI arrested on April 15 in Guelmim, prisoner in Inzegane, condemned to 1 year, by the first authority court of Agadir. He was released after having purged his condemnation.
Moreover, the Sahrawi political prisoners, in the black prison of El-Ayoune, Mr. Sheik BENALLA, Mr. Ghali ZOUGHAM, Omar BELYAZID, Mr. Abdessalam DAIDA, Mr. Mohamed Salem BAHAHA and Mr. Mouloud Elhajaj, will appear, also, in front of the court of second authority in El-Ayoune, in appeal, on May 15, 2007. We point out that these six prisoners had been condemned in first authority to three years of prison. In addition, five Sahrawi students at university IBNO ZOHR, of Agadir, south of Morocco, Mr. Ahmed CHEINE, Mr. Mahmoud ELFILALI, Mr. Mohamed CHOUEIAAR, Mr. Lahoucine LEMGHEIFAR and Mr. Abazid KADAL, had been arrested and imprisoned in the civil prison of Inezgane, appeared before the examining magistrate, today, Wednesday May 9, 2007. The arrest of these Sahrawi students occurred following bloody attacks which the Sahrawi students have undergone at the enclosure of the University of Agadir, the enclosure of the University City and also in the districts close to this university. The Sahrawi students who led a strike inside the Faculty of Science to claim their rights had been attacked, Monday May 7, 2007, by groups of extremists and racist students, members of the MCA (Amazigh Cultural Movement). These confrontations made more than 57 arrests and more than 19 seriously wounded cases. All the students arrested were released later on except those five. The families of these students organized, today, a sit-in in front of Wilaya d' El-Ayoune, to support their children, but the Moroccan authorities made use of excessive force to disperse them what resulted into a large number of seriously wounded women
