Jugement des défenseurs des droits humains, Brahim SABBAR et Ahmed SBAI, en appel
Les deux défenseurs des droits humains et membres de l’ASVDH, Mr. Brahim SABBAR, secrétaire général, et Mr. Ahmed SBAI, membre du conseil de coordination, ont comparu, aujourd’hui, mardi 24 avril 2007, devant la cour d’appel d’El Ayoune. Les deux défenseurs des droits humains, détenus en prison noire, avaient été condamnés, en première instance à un an de prison ferme, le 06 mars 2007. La cour a décidé de reporter cette séance au 22 mai 2007. Il est a rappelé que Mr. Brahim SABBAR et Mr. Ahmed SBAI, sont entrés dans la salle en scandant des slogans condamnant les jugements iniques qu’ils subissent et en faveur de leurs droits à la l’expression libre de leurs opinions.
Nous rappelons également que Mr. SABBAR, rescapé du bagne secret de Kalaat M’Gouna, où il avait passé dix ans de disparition forcée, a été condamné, en première instance, le 27 juin 2006, et en appel, le 20 juillet 2007, à deux ans de prison ferme, dans un premier dossier, en compagnie du détenu politique sahraoui, Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud HADDI ELKAINAN, condamné à trois ans de prison ferme, et son frère, Mr. Mohamed Lamine HADDI, condamné à un an avec suris. Nous soulignons aussi que Mr. SABBAR, qui avait été harcelé à mainte reprise et privé du droit à la visite, continue d’être sujet au mauvais traitement.
Trois autres détenus politiques sahraouis ont, aussi, comparu devant la cour d’appel d’El Ayoune, aujourd’hui, mardi 24 avril 2007. Il s’agit de Mr. Elhafed TOUBALI, Ahmed Salem AHMEIDAT et Mohamed Lahbib ELGASMI. Ces trois détenus politiques sahraouis avaient été condamnés en première instance à trois ans de prison ferme, le 06 mars 2007. La cour d’appel a décidé de reporter, également la séance au 22 mai 2007. Ces trois détenus politiques sahraouis ont été expulsés de la salle d’audience pour avoir chanté l’hymne national sahraoui.
Dans contexte des jugements des détenus politiques sahraouis, la cour d’appel d’El Ayoune, a confirmé, aujourd’hui, la sentence prononcée contre le détenu politique sahraoui, Mr. Lansen AZRIGUINAT. Ce détenu politique avait été condamné à une amende de 500 dhs. De même, les deux détenus politiques sahraouis, Mr. Hmada MahmoudDADI et Ahmed Sidi Elmoussaoui, libérés le 08 décembre 2006 après avoir purgé une peine de six mois prononcée en première instance, ont comparu devant la cour d’appel, aujourd’hui, mais leur dossier n’a pas été traité.
La vague d’arrestation touchant des jeunes sahraouis continue à El Ayoune
Les forces sécuritaires marocaines continuent leur vague d’arrestations touchant en majorité les jeunes sahraouis entre 12 et 17 ans. Ainsi, les jeunes sahraouis, Mr. Najem ELGARHI, Mr. Youssef BAIBA, Mr. Sidi CHRIF, Edeyou ERGUIBI, Larbi ZALMALA, Sid Ahmed ELGARHI et Mahmoud ELMOUSSAOUI, ont été arrêté samedi 21 avril 2007, à 20 :00 GMT, suite à leur participation à une manifestation, et n’ont été relâché que dimanche 22 avril 2007, à 19 :00 GMT. Ces jeunes ont affirmé avoir subit des interrogations violents.
De même, les jeunes sahraouis, Mr. Abdelfatah BAGANNA, Rachid ELGARHI et un autre jeune sahraoui nommé Omar, ont été arrêté dimanche 22 avril 2007, à 20 :00 GMT, et ont subit des interrogations violents. Mr Abdelfatah BAGANNA et Omar, ont été relâchés tard dans la nuit, vers minuit trente, alors que Mr. Rachid ELGARHI, qui avait été sauvagement tabassé, a été retenu dans le centre de la police. Nous ne disposons d’aucune nouvelle information sur son sort jusqu’à présent.

Judgment of the Sahrawi human rights defenders, Mr. Brahim SABBAR and Mr. Ahmed SBAI, in appeal
Two Sahrawi human rights defenders and members of the ASVDH, Mr. Brahim SABBAR, secretary general, and Mr. Ahmed SBAI, member of the council of coordination, appear, today, Tuesday April 24, 2007, before the Court of Appeal of El Ayoune. The two Sahrawi human rights defenders detained in the black prison, had been condemned, in first authority to one year of firm prison on March 6, 2007. The court decided to defer this meeting to May 22, 2007. We recall that Mr. Brahim SABBAR and Mr. Ahmed SBAI, entered the room by stressing slogans condemning the iniquitous judgments which they undergo and in favor of their rights to the free expression their opinions.
We also point out that Mr. SABBAR, survivor of the secret jail of Kalaat M’Gouna, where he had spent ten years of forced disappearance, was condemned, in first authority, on June 27, 2006 and in appeal on July 20, 2007, to two years of firm prison, in a first file, with the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud HADDI ELKAINAN, condemned to three years of firm prison, and his brother, Mr. Mohamed Lamine HADDI, condemned to one year with suris. We also point out that Mr. SABBAR, who had been harassed on many occasions and had been deprived of the right to the visit, continuous to be subjected to the ill treatment.
Three other Sahrawi political prisoners, also, appeared before the Court of Appeal of El Ayoune, today, Tuesday April 24, 2007. It is about Mr. Elhafed TOUBALI, Ahmed Salem AHMEIDAT and Mohamed Lahbib ELGASMI. These three Sahrawi political prisoners had been condemned in first authority to three years of firm prison, on March 6, 2007. The Court of Appeal decided to defer, also the meeting to May 22, 2007. These three Sahrawi political prisoners were expelled from the courtroom to have sung the Sahrawi national hymn.
In context of the judgments of the Sahrawi political prisoners, the Court of Appeal of El Ayoune, confirmed, today, the sentence pronounced against the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Lansen AZRIGUINAT. The wave of arrest, touching the young Sahrawis, continues in El Ayoune
The Moroccan security forces continue their wave of arrests touching in majority the young Sahrawis, between 12 and 17 years. Thus, the young Sahrawis, Mr. Najem ELGARHI, Mr. Youssef BAIBA, Mr. Sidi CHRIF, Edeyou ERGUIBI, Larbi ZALMALA, Sid Ahmed ELGARHI and Mahmoud ELMOUSSAOUI, were arrested Saturday April 21, 2007, to 20: 00 GMT, following their participation in a demonstration, and were released only Sunday April 22, 2007, with 19: 00 GMT. These young Sahrawis affirmed to have undergone violent interrogations.
In the same way, the young Sahrawis, Mr. Abdelfatah BAGANNA, Rachid ELGARHI and another young Sahrawi named Omar, were arrested Sunday April 22, 2007, at 20: 00 GMT, and have also undergone violent interrogations. Mr. Abdelfatah BAGANNA and Omar were released late in the night, about midnight thirty, whereas Mr. Rachid ELGARHI, who had been savagely beaten, was retained in the center of the police force. We do not have any new information on his fate until now.
