Transfert arbitraire du détenu politique sahraoui, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA
La famille du détenu politique sahraoui, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA, vient d’être informée, aujourd’hui vendredi 16 mars 2007, que son fils a été transféré, tôt ce matin, vers la prison locale de Tiznit, Maroc. La famille qui est inquiète sur le sort de son fils malade et qui devait subir une opération chirurgicale, suite à des troubles de santé résultant de la grève de la faim qu’il a entamé avec ses camarades depuis le 30 janvier 2007. De même, la famille de Mr. CHOUBEIDA, affirme avoir visité leur fils hier, jeudi 15 mars 2007, et que ce dernier ignorait tout information sur son transfère.
La transfère de Mr. CHOUBEIDA, qui est au fait une atteinte à ces droits, en tant que détenu politique, et une déportation forcée, s’ajoute à une série d’acte de vengeance qu’il a subit, allant de mauvais traitement dans la prison noire, en passant par le procès inique et finissant par sa déportation.
Nous rappelons que Mr. CHOUBEIDA a été condamné à an et demi de prison. Cette sentence a été confirmé le mardi 13 mars 2007, par la cour d’appel d’El-Ayoune, et qu’il avait annoncé, auparavant, son rejet de la nationalité marocaine. La famille du détenu politique sahraoui, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA, s’inquiète sur le sort de son fils alors qu’elle ne peut plus lui rendre visite régulièrement vu la distance entre le lieu de sa détention et la ville d’El-Ayoune. La ville de Tiznit, où est transféré Mr. CHOUBEIDA, se trouve à plus de 500 Kms d’El-Ayoune.

Arbitrary transfer of the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA
The family of the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA, has been just informed, today Friday March 16, 2007, that their son was transferred, early this morning, towards the local prison of Tiznit, Morocco. The family feels anxious about the fate of their sick son, who was to undergo a surgical operation, following illness resulting from the hunger strike that he started with his comrades since January 30, 2007. In the same way, the family of Mr. CHOUBEIDA, affirms to have visited their son yesterday, Thursday March 15, 2007, and that the latter has no information on his transfer. The transfer of Mr. CHOUBEIDA, which is in fact an attack to his rights, as a political prisoner, and a forced deportation, is added to a series of acts of revenge which he has undergone, starting with the ill treatment in the black prison, passing through the unfair lawsuit and finishing by his deportation.
We point out that Mr. CHOUBEIDA was condemned to one year and half of prison. This sentence was confirmed on Tuesday March 13, 2007, by the Court of Appeal of El-Ayoune, and that he had announced, before, his rejection of the Moroccan nationality.
The family of the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Laaroussi CHOUBEIDA, worries on the fate of their son whereas they cannot any more visit him regularly considering the distance between the place of his detention and the town of El-Ayoune. The town of Tiznit, to where Mr. CHOUBEIDA is transferred, is at more than 500 Kms far from El-Ayoune.
