Jugement de Mr. ASFARI Ennaama à Smara
La cour de première instance, à smara, a condamné, aujourd’hui, lundi 15 janvier 2007, le défenseur des droits humains et coprésident du CORELSO, Mr. ASFARI Ennaama, à deux mois avec sursis et une amende de 500 dhs.
Mr. ASFARI Ennaama, défenseur sahraoui des droits humains, résident en France, avait été arrêté le 05 janvier et mis en détention, à la prison locale de Smara, avant de le remettre en liberté conditionnelle le 12 janvier. Son arrestation s’inscrit dans une série d’intimidation et de resserrement dont il a été victime à maintes reprises.
Nous rappelons que Mr. ASFARI a été chargé de fausses accusations similaires à celles dont ont été chargé plusieurs activistes sahraouis, parmi eux, le secrétaire général de l’ASVDH Mr. SABBAR Brahim et le membre du conseil de coordination Mr. SBAI Ahmed, qui comparaîtront devant la cour du deuxième degré à El-Ayoune, le 23 janvier.

Judgement of Mr. ASFARI Ennaama in Smara
The court of first degree, in smara, has condemned, today, Monday January 15, 2007, the defender of the human rights and co-president of the CORELSO, Mr. ASFARI Ennaama, to two months with deferment and a fine of 500 dhs.
Mr. ASFARI Ennaama, Sahrawi human rights defender, resident in France, had been arrested on January 5 and put in detention, in the local prison of Smara, before giving him conditional freedom on January 12. His arrest falls under a series of intimidation and tightening of which he was victim on several occasions.
We point out that Mr. ASFARI was in charge of false charges similar to those with which several Sahrawi activists were charged, among them, the secretary general of the ASVDH Mr. SABBAR Brahim and the member of the council of coordination Mr. SBAI Ahmed, who will appear before the court of the second degree in El-Ayoune, on January 23.
