5 March, 2008The Moroccan authorities release the two police agents responsible for the death of the Sahrawi martyr, HAMDI LEMBARKIOn March 04, 2008, the Court of Appeal in El Aaiun, Western Sahara investigated in the lawcase of the two police agents responsible for the murder of the Sahrawi martyr, HAMDI LEMBARKI tortured to death on October 29, 2005 in a public street in El Aaiun, Western Sahara.Despite the presence of the the witnesses and their confirmation of the guilt of both ABDERRAHIM LEMSAOUD and MUSTAPHA ROCHDI, the Moroccan Police agents responsible for the murder, the Court of Appeal has set them free, as it reduced their verdict from 10 to 2 years' imprisonment. The two police agents had spent two years detained in a special comfortable room, under the prison administration supervision, in the Black Prison in El Aaiun, Western Sahara.
