Les détenus politiques sahraouis, à la Prison Noire d’El-Ayoune continuent leur grève de la faim, qu’ils ont commencée le 25 février 2008, pour le huitième jour. L’état de santé des grévistes commence à devenir préoccupantes. Alors que les cas enregistrés les jours précédents continuent leurs souffrances devant l’insouciance de la direction de la prison, qui maintien sa position de refus de présenter aucun soins aux grévistes, la santé d’autres grévistes commence à se détériorer.
Ainsi, Mr. Mohamed BOUTABAA et Mr. Omar AKHNIBILA, souffrent de vomissements et d’hépatite. Egalement, Mr. Elhafed TOUBALI, qui souffre de douleurs aigues au niveau des intestins, souffre aussi de vomissements et a été transféré, aujourd’hui lundi 3 mars 2008, à l’hôpital, où il est toujours gardé, dans un état critique.
