Arrestation d’un jeune sahraoui à El-Ayoune
La police marocaine a arrêté, avant-hier, samedi 18 août 2007, le jeune sahraoui, Mr. Mohamed HALI, à un point de contrôle à la sortie sud d’El-Ayoune. Les responsables sécuritaires n’ont reconnu l’arrestation de ce jeune sahraoui qu’hier dimanche 19 août 2007 et refuse à sa famille de lui rendre visite. Et jusqu’à ce moment la famille de ce jeune ignore les accusations dressées contre leur fils.
Nous rappelons que Mr. Mohamed HALI, étudiant à l’université de Marrakech, est connu pour son militantisme et sa participation aux manifestations des étudiants sahraouis.
D’autre part, les forces policières marocaines continuent de surveiller la maison du défenseur des droits humains et président du Comité Sahraoui pour le Soutien du Plan Onusien et pour la protection des Ressources Naturelle au Sahara occidental, Mr. Sid Ahmed LEMJEYID, et ce depuis jeudi 16 août 2007. nous rappelons qu’un groupe d’agent de police sous commandement de l’officier Aboulhassan ICHI, étaient venu, jeudi dernier, à la maison de la famille de Mr. Sid Ahmed LEMJEYID, dans le but de l’arrêter sans aucun ordre d’arrestation. Quand ces agents n’ont pas pu l’arrêter, ils ont alors soumis la maison à une surveillance en attente d’une occasion pour arrêter ce défenseur des droits humains. Nous rappelons aussi que Mr. LEMJEYID avait fais l’objet d’agression sauvage et intimidation à plusieurs occasions par l’officier Aboulhassan ICHI et un nombre d’agent de police marocaine.

Arrest of a young Sahrawi in El-Ayoune
The Moroccan police force arrested, the day before yesterday, Saturday August 18, 2007, the young Sahrawi, Mr. Mohamed HALI, at a check point at the southern exit of El-Ayoune. The security officers haven’t recognized the arrest of this young Sahrawi until yesterday Sunday August 19, 2007 and refuse to hid family to visit him. And until this moment the family of this young Sahrawi do not know charges drawn up against their son.
We point out that Mr. Mohamed HALI, studying at the University of Marrakech, is known for his militancy and his participation in the manifestations of the Sahrawi students.
In addition, the Moroccan police forces continue to supervise the house of the human rights defender and president of the Sahrawi Committee for the Support of the UN Plan and Protection of the Natural Resources in Western Sahara, Mr. Sid Ahmed LEMJEYID, and this since Thursday August 16, 2007. We point out that a group of policeman under command of the officer Aboulhassan ICHI, had come, last Thursday, at the house of the family of Mr. Sid Ahmed LEMJEYID, with an aim of arresting him without any order of arrest. When these agents could not arrest him, they then subjected the house to a monitoring on standby of an occasion to arrest this human rights defender. We also point out that Mr. LEMJEYID had been subjected to savage aggression and intimidation on several occasions by the officer Aboulhassan ICHI and a number of Moroccan policeman.
