Condamnation de Mr. Mansouri à six mois de prison
Le détenu Sahraoui, Mr. Mohamed Ghali Mansouri, a comparu hier, mercredi 13 Octobre 2008, devant la cour de première instance à El-Ayoune, dans une première affaire. Mr. Mansouri, accus de participation à un attroupement armé et insulte d’un fonctionnaire d’Etat, a té condamné à six mois de prison ferme. Mr. Mansouri comparaîtra la semaine prochaine devant la même cour dans une deuxième affaire sous charge d’avoir agressé un agent de police.
Nous rappelons que les autorités marocaines ont arrêté le jeune sahraoui, Mr. Mohamed Ghali Mansouri (né en 1985), le samedi 11 Octobre 2008, et l’ont incarcéré le dimanche 12 Octobre 2008, à la Prison Noire d’El-Ayoune.
Mr. Mansouri a été arrêté suite à sa participation dans des sit-in pacifiques organisés par un groupe de diplômés chômeurs sahraouis à Boujdour pour réclamer leur droit au travail et à une vie décente. Toutefois, les forces marocaines ont répliqué à ces légitimes et pacifiques protestations par de violentes interventions qui ont abouti à un grand nombre de blessés. Au le même temps, les autorités marocaines dans la même ville ont insisté sur le fait de fermer les portes du dialogue avec les diplômés chômeurs sahraouis.

Condemnation of Mr. Mansouri to six months in prison
The detained Sahrawi, Mr. Mohamed Mansouri Ghali, appeared yesterday, Wednesday October 13 2008, before the trial court in El-Ayoune, in a first case. Mr. Mansouri, accused of participation in an armed crowd and insulting a state official, was sentenced to six months in prison. Mr. Mansouri will appear next week before the same court in a second case under the charge of assaulting a police officer.
We recall that the Moroccan authorities have arrested the young Sahrawi, Mr. Mohamed Ghali Mansouri (born 1985), on Saturday October 11 2008, and incarcerated him on Sunday October 12 2008, in the Black Prison of El-Ayoune.
And Mr. Mansouri's arrest came after his participation in the peaceful sit-ins organized by a group of the unemployed Sahrawi graduates in Boujdour to demand their right to work and decent living. However, the Moroccan forces faced the legitimate and peaceful protests by violent intervention which resulted in a large number of wounded. At the same time, Moroccan authorities in the same city insisted to close the doors of dialogue with the unemployed Sahrawi graduates.
