Acquittement de Mr. Boullahi SADDYK
La cour d’appel d’El-Ayoune a décidé aujourd’hui lundi 20 octobre 2008, d’acquitter le membre du bureau exécutif de l’ASVDH, Mr. Boullahi SADDYK.
Nous rappelons que Mr. BOULLAHI, né en 1958, père de deux enfants et rescapé du bagne secret Kalaat Meguouna où il avait passé 10 ans en compagnie de Mr. Brahim SABBAR entre 1981 et 1991, avait été arrêté le vendredi 27 juillet 2007, à Guelmim, et avait été transféré à El-Ayoune où il avait été détenu, au centre de la police judicaire, jusqu’au dimanche 29 juillet vers 13 :00 GMT. Mr. BOULLAHI avait comparu devant je juge d’instruction qui avait décidé d’instruire un procès contre lui pour création d’une association non autorisée. Le jeudi 1er Novembre 2007 la cour du premier degré avait condamné Mr. BOULLAHI à six mois de prison ferme.En outre, les membres de l’ASVDH continuent d’être victime d’harcèlement par les agents de la police marocaine. Ainsi hier, dimanche 19 octobre 2008, Mr. Brahim DAHANE, président de l’ASVDH, Mr. Mohamed Fadel ELHAIRACH et Mr. Dahha RAHMOUNI, membres du bureau exécutif de l’ASVDH, ont té arrêté par des agents de la police, en civil, qui leur ont dit qu’il ne doivent plus venir au quartier L’ERAC où habite Mme. Elghalia DJIMI, vice présidente de l’ASVDH, et son mari Mr. Mustapha DAH. Nous rappelons aussi que Mr. Brahim SABBAR avait aussi été interdit de venir au même quartier, jeudi 16 octobre 2008.
Par ailleurs, l’ASVDH a été informé sur l’arrestation d’un jeune sahraoui à Smara. Selon sa famille, Mr. Abba Ali AHMIM (né en 1979) a été arrêté le samedi 18 octobre 2008 vers 21 :00 GMT à Smara par la police judiciaire et a été transféré à El-Ayoune le même jour vers minuit. Mr. AHMIM a comparu devant le juge d’instruction aujourd’hui lundi 20 octobre 2008 vers 14 :00 GMT. Le juge a alors décidé de l’incarcérer à la prison noire à El-Ayoune. Et toujours selon sa famille, Mr. AHMIM avait des traces de mauvais traitement sont apparentes sur lui, surtout sur son visage, lors de sa comparution devant le juge d’instruction. Mr. Abba Ali AHMIM est accusé des mêmes charges que Mr. Brahim CHEIKHI, en l’occurrence : brûler une voiture d’un policier à Smara.

Acquittal of Mr. Boullahi SADDYK
The Court of Appeal of El-Ayoune today decided Monday October 20 2008, to discharge the member of the executive office of the ASVDH, Mr. Boullahi SADDYK.
We recall that Mr. BOULLAHI, born in 1958, father of two children and survivor of the secret prison Kalaat Meguouna where he spent 10 years in the company of Mr. Brahim Sabbar between 1981 and 1991, was arrested on Friday 27 July 2007, in Guelmim and was transferred to El-Ayoune, where he had been detained in the centre of the judicial police until Sunday July 29 at 13: 00 GMT. Mr. BOULLAHI had appeared before the magistrate who had decided to pursue him for creating an unauthorized association. On Thursday the November 1st 2007 the court of first degree had sentenced Mr. BOULLAHI to six months in prison.
In addition, members of the ASVDH continue to be victims of harassment by Moroccan police officers. So yesterday, Sunday October 19 2008, Mr. Brahim Dahane, president of the ASVDH, Mr. Mohamed Fadel ELHAIRACH and Mr. Dahha RAHMOUNI, membersof the executive office of the ASVDH have been stopped by agents of the police, in plain clothes, who told them that they should no longer come to the ERAC neighbourhood where live Ms. Elghalia Djimi, vice president of the ASVDH, and her husband Mr. Mustapha DAH. We also recall that Mr. Brahim Sabbar was also forbidden to come to the same neighbourhood, on Thursday 16 October 2008.
In addition, ASVDH has been informed about the arrest of a young Sahrawi in Smara. According to his family, Mr. Abba Ali AHMIM (born in 1979) was arrested on Saturday October 18 2008 at 21: 00 GMT in Smara by the judicial police and was transferred to El-Ayoune the same day around midnight. Mr. AHMIM appeared before the magistrate today Monday October 20 2008 at 14: 00 GMT. The judge then decided to imprison the black prison in El-Ayoune. And according to his family, Mr. AHMIM the traces of ill-treatment were apparent on him, especially on his face, during his appearance before the magistrate. Mr. Abba Ali AHMIM is accused of the same charges as Mr. Brahim CHEIKHI, namely: burning a car of a policeman in Smara.
