Déclaration
La Coordination des Associations et Comités Sahraouis au Sahara Occidental, après avoir étudié, lors de sa réunion aujourd’hui lundi 31 mars 2008, les nouvelles des prisonniers politiques sahraouis, déclare à l’opinion publique local et international ce qui suit :
1- Concernant le procès de Mr. Said ELBAILLAL :
La coordination, après avoir assisté au procès de Mr. ELBAILLAL,
- dénonce vivement le procès et les accusations contre Mr. ELBAILLAL et demande sa libération immédiate
- dénonce le comportement inhumain de l’administration du complexe pénitencier de Salé à l’égard de l’état de santé de Mr. ELBAILLAL en grève de la faim depuis le 20 février 2008, ce qui lui a causé de nombreuses maladie
- se réjouit de la déclaration de Mr. ELBAILLAL qu’il cesse la grève de la faim
2- Concernant la situation d’autres détenus politiques sahraouis,
La coordination,
- se félicite de la cessation de la grève de la faim dans les prisons de, El-aaiun, Tiznit, Taroudant et Salé, et exprime sa préoccupation profonde pour l’état de santé d’autres prisonniers politiques sahraouis qui mènent encore la grève de la faim, notamment à Inezgane, Ait Melloul et Kénitra
- estime que l’Etat du Maroc est responsable de toutes les répercussions de la grève de la faim sur les prisonniers grévistes et exige l’ouverture d’un dialogue avec les grévistes et une réponse immédiate à leurs revendications légitimes
3- Concernant les procès qui se dérouleront durant le moi d’avril, la Coordination, appelle toutes les organisations internationales et tous les observateurs internationaux de soutenir les prisonniers politiques qui seront jugés.
Enfin, la Coordination confirme son soutien inconditionnel aux prisonniers politiques sahraouis, exprime sa solidarité avec leurs familles et s’engage à agir dans le but de leur libération conjointement avec les efforts de différentes parties agissant pour la défenses des droits humains et aussi avec les efforts de la Campagne International pour la Libération de Brahim SABBAR et tous les Prisonniers Politiques Sahraouis dans les Prisons Marocaines.

Declaration
The Coordination of Sahrawi Associations and Committees in Western Sahara, after studying at its meeting today, Monday, March 31, 2008, news of the Sahrawi political prisoners, declares to the locally and international public opinion as follows:
1 – In regards with the trial of Mr. Said ELBAILLAL:
The Coordination, after attending the trial of Mr. ELBAILLAL,
- Strongly condemns the trial and the charges against Mr. ELBAILLAL and calls for his immediate release
- Condemns the inhuman behaviour of the administration of the penitentiary complex of Sale with respect to the state of health of Mr. ELBAILLAL on hunger strike since Feb. 20, 2008, causing him numerous disease
- Welcomes the statement by Mr. ELBAILLAL in which he declares the cease of the hunger strike
2 - Regarding the situation of other Saharawi political detainees,
The Coordination,
- Welcomes the cessation of the hunger strike in the prisons of El-aaiun, Tiznit, Taroudant and Salé, and expresses its deep concern for the health status of other Sahrawi political prisoners still leading Hunger strike, including Inezgane, Ait Melloul and Kenitra
- Believes that the State of Morocco is responsible for all the effects of the hunger strike on prisoners strikers and demands the opening of a serious dialogue with the strikers and an immediate response to their legitimate claims
3 - Regarding the trials that will take place during the month of April, the Coordination calls on all international organizations and observers to support political prisoners who will be jugged.
Finally, the Coordination confirms its unconditional support for the Saharawi political prisoners, expresses solidarity with their families and committed to act with the aim of their release in conjunction with the efforts of various parties who are acting in defence of human rights and also with the efforts of the International Campaign for the Liberation of Brahim SABBAR and all Sahrawi Political Prisoners in Moroccan prisons.
