A victim family of the mines anti-people

A Sahrawi family was victim of the explosion of a mine anti-person, on Monday December 4, 2006, in the area of BIRANZARANE, in the south of the Western Sahara, whereas they were on board of a car 4x4, Land Rover. The explosion made two deaths: the young son of the family, Salk Mohamed Lamine OUSSIBOUA, born in 1986, and a man who accompanied the family. The father, Mohamed Lamine OUSSIBOUA, born in 1950, and the mother, Ghallouha DAOUDI, born in 1962, were seriously wounded and transferred towards the hospital. The girl, Chaia Mohamed Lamine OUSSIBOUA, born in 1983, was also wounded, and the son, Said Mohamed Lamine OUSSIBOUA, born in 1979, lost fingers of his hand.
We point out that several Sahrawi people were victims of these mines which were planted by the Moroccan army at the time of the war against Frente POLISARION. The war ended in 1991 but the mines continue to make deaths and handicapped people. The Moroccan State remains the only part in charge for these crimes
