Le défunt était l’un des plus actifs des militants sahraouis. Depuis le déclenchement de l'Intifada de l'indépendance, il travaillait à côté des activistes sahraouis et des défenseurs des droits de l'homme en surveillant les violations commises par l'état marocain durant l'oppression des démonstrations réclamant le droit du peuple sahraoui à l'autodétermination et l'indépendance.
Ainsi, il avait l'habitude de coopérer avec l'Association Sahraouie des Victimes des Violations graves des Droits Humains Commises par l'Etat Marocain, aussi bien qu'avec le Comité pour le Soutien à l'autodétermination au Sahara Occidental, présidé par le grand militant sahraoui, DADACH Sidi Mohamed.
Le défunt était vulnérable aux menaces et aux harcèlements à plusieurs reprises. Il a été arrêté le 17 avril 2005, et le 22 mars 2006 pendant une période de sept heures. Il a été également arrêté le 18 mai 2006, pendant deux heures, quand il allait rencontrer des membres de la Commission de l'OHCHR, accompagnés de Mr. Sid Ahmed LAMJEED, Abdelhai TOUBALI et le conducteur de la voiture qu'ils montaient.
Le défunt était un membre fondateur du Comité pour l'appui des Nations Unies - plan africain de règlement et pour la protection des ressources naturelles en Sahara occidental. Il a été élu secrétaire général de ce Comité.

Since the strike of the Intifada of independence, he worked beside the Sahrawi activists and defenders of the human rights by supervising the violations made by the Moroccan state lasting the oppression of the demonstrations claiming the right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence.
Thus, he was accustomed to cooperating with the Sahrawi Association of the Victims of the Grave Violations of the Human Rights Committed by the Moroccan State, as well as with the Committee for the Support of self-determination in Western Sahara, chaired by the great Sahrawi militant, DADACH Sidi Mohamed.
The deceased was one vulnerable to the threats and harassments on several occasions. He was stopped on April 17, 2005, and on March 22, 2006 for seven hours. He was also stopped on May 18, 2006, during two hours, when he was going to meet Members of the Commission of the OHCHR, accompanied by Mr. Sid Ahmed LAMJEED, Abdelhai TOUBALI and the driver of the car which they were driving.
The deceased was a founder member of the Committee for the support of the United Nations – African Settlement Plan and for the Protection of Natural Resources in Western Sahara. He was elected secretary general of this Committee.
