Grève de la faim et procès à El-Ayoune
Après l'odieux attentat contre le prisonnier politique sahraoui, M. Ahmed Mahmoud, HADDI ELKAINNAN, le porte-parole des prisonniers politiques sahraouis dans la prison noire, ce dernier a décidé de mener une grève de la faim ouverte à partir du 28 Juin 2008, pour réclamer la restauration de ses effets personnels confisqués par l'administration pénitentiaire, et pour dénoncer les mauvais traitements qu'il a subit. M. HADDI est toujours en grève et l'administration pénitentiaire n'a pas encore pris aucune initiative pour répondre à ses exigences légitimes, ce qui constitue une menace à son intégrité physique et psychologique. Et en solidarité avec le prisonnier politique, M. HADDI, les prisonniers politiques sahraouis dans la prison noire ont mené une grève de la faim pendant quarante huit heures (48 heures), le 1 et 2 Juillet 2008. Les grévistes ont protesté contre les mauvais traitements infligés par l'administration pénitentiaire et contre les interventions sauvages du personnel pénitentiaire, la dernière intervention a été subie par le prisonnier politique sahraoui, M. HADDI Ahmed Mahmoud ELKAINNAN, et le prisonnier politique sahraoui, M. Abderrahman ZAWANI a été torturé.
D'autre part, le prisonnier politique sahraoui, M. Abderrahman ZAWANI a comparu devant le Tribunal de première instance à El-Ayoune, le mardi 1 Juillet 2008. M. ZAWANI a été arrêté à suite aux manifestations de Tarfaya. Il a protesté devant le tribunal d'être torturé par un groupe de tortionnaires sans aucune expertise médicale ou de toute enquête sur ce point. Et le tribunal avait décidé de reporter la séance jusqu'au mercredi 2 Juillet 2008, afin de procéder à une expertise médicale. Aussi, dans la même journée, cinq prisonniers politiques sahraouis dans la prison noire ont comparu devant la Cour d'appel. Il s'agit des prisonniers politiques sahraouis, M. Bachir Khadda et M. Omar AKHNIBILA, dans un premier dossier, et les prisonniers politiques sahraouis, M. Abdessalam LOUMADI, M. Hassan DAH et M. Mohamed BACHIRI dans un second dossier Le tribunal de première instance a déjà rendu une décision à leur égard, dix mois de prison. La Cour d'appel a décidé de reporter la séance jusqu'au 8 Juillet 2008.
De même, le défenseur sahraoui des droits de l'homme et membre du bureau exécutif de l'ASVDH, M. Saddyk BOULLAHI, a comparu le lundi 30 Juin 2008, devant la Cour d'appel à El-Ayoune. M. BOULLAHI a déjà été condamné par le tribunal à six mois de prison ferme. La Cour a décidé de reporter la séance au 6 Octobre 2008. M. BOULLAHI a été poursuivi par les autorités marocaines pour constitution d’une association sans autorisation et un avis de recherche avait été publié contre et un groupe d'activistes sahraouis sur suite aux manifestations qui ont éclaté dans le territoire du Sahara occidental en Mai 2005

Hunger strike and trials in El-Ayoune
Following the heinous attack against the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud, HADDI ELKAINNAN, the spokesman for the Sahrawi political prisoners in the Black Prison, the latter decided to engage in open hunger strike starting from June 28, 2008, to demand the restoration of his personal belongings confiscated by the prison administration, and to denounce the ill treatment that he was subjected to. Mr. HADDI is still strike and the prison administration has not yet taken any initiative to respond to his legitimate demands, which constitutes a threat to his physical and psychological integrity. And in solidarity with the political prisoner, Mr. HADDI, the Saharawi political prisoners in the Black Prison, led a hunger strike for forty eight hours (48 hours), Tuesday 1 and July 2, 2008. The strikers protested against the ill-treatment by the prison administration and against the savage interventions of the prison staff, the latest was undergone by the Saharawi political prisoner, Mr. HADDI Ahmed Mahmoud ELKAINNAN, and the torture suffered by the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Abderrahman ZAWANI.
On the other hand, the Sahrawi political prisoner, Mr. Abderrahman ZAWANI appeared before the Court of First Instance in Laayoune, on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Mr. ZAWANI was arrested at the backdrop of demonstrations in Tarfaya. He protested before the court of being tortured by a group of torturers without any medical expertise or any inquiry into this. And the court had decided to postpone the meeting until Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in order to conduct a medical expertise. Also, in the same day, five Sahrawi political prisoners in the Black Prison appeared before the Court of Appeal. It is about the Sahrawi political prisoners, Mr. Bachir KHADDA, Mr. AKHNIBILA Omar, in the first file, and the Saharawi political prisoners, Mr. LOUMADI Abdessalam, Mr. Hassan DAH and Mr. Mohamed BACHIRI, in a second file. The Trial Court has already issued a ruling against them, ten months in prison. The Court of Appeal decided to postpone the meeting until July 8, 2008.
Also, the Sahrawi human rights defender and member of the executive office of the ASVDH, Mr. Saddyk BOULLAHI, appeared on Monday June 30, 2008, before the Court of Appeal in El-Ayoune. Mr. BOULLAHI was already sentenced by the court to six months imprisonment in force. The Court decided to postpone the meeting to October 6, 2008. Mr. BOULLAHI was pursued by the Moroccan authorities on charges of establishing an unlicensed Association and had already issued him a note search, accompanied by a group of Sahrawi activists on the backdrop of demonstrations that erupted in the territory of Western Sahara in May 2005.
